Welcome to The All New Adventuring with Ian & Brian
Introduction
It is a new world out there. Even though I am now a little long in the tooth, I can still learn some new tricks.
This new rendition of Adventuring with Ian & Brian has been built with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-not to replace us, but to support the work. All the images you see across the site are now AI-generated which means no more worrying about copyright issues or hunting for stock photos.
But, fear not. The stories are still written by us. They are not AI generated. AI is our tool, not our creator.
The New Structure
We must confess immediately that the new site has some commercial elements. I hope that won’t scare you away. We are still the adventurers. Take what you like, and leave the rest. Here is the 10,000-foot view of how this site works now.
Home Page: A guided overview of the entire site.
Sample Adventures: Here is where we post adventures that are available to all who visit the site. If you viewed our previous version of our site, you might recognize some. I will probably add a new one here every three months or so.
Members Adventures: This page shows the latest 3 adventures that have been posted and directs you to the library of all postings. For a modest monthly fee, these adventures are available to those who join.
Complete Adventure Index: There will be many adventures with many categories and at least three authors (Ian, Brian, Ian Andcompany). These structured index set lets you find the adventure you want to read.
Blog: This feature is available to all that provide me an email address or find us on social media. It will let you know about the latest Adventure postings, the behind the scenes activities that makes this possible, and updates on what kinds of new features will be added (There will be plenty)
About: The usual site description background.
About Brian: Some autobiographical details about why he loves adventuring.
Contact: The usual
Adventure Store: We are offering items that support your adventuring. This is currently an Amazon Associate store, but will add specialty products and services in the future. If you are already buying on Amazon, give us a try.
The Way Forward
As we come to market, the site has
4 stories for all
3 stories for members
3 blog posts.
We will update with at least two new adventures every month, and attempt to get out a blog post maybe once per week.
We also want to announce that we will also open a sister site in the near future. It is entitled Birding with Ian & Brian. See our second blog post for more details on that site.
Finally, we will be expanding our offerings going forward. This will include;
downloadable PDFs of the stories to read offline
Podcasts of the stories read by Brian
short Youtube videos by Brian
more ways to experience the adventure.
Stay with us. We have lots more stories to tell about our adventuring.
